Taking the plunge
I stared at the diving board. Small streams of water trickled down my legs. It wasn't just any diving board — it was the high dive.
"Two year olds can't jump off the high dive," Mum said yet again.
That wasn't going to stop me. I was a determined two year old. I asked again. And again. And finally—
“I’ll take him.”
I looked up through my pink fogged-up goggles to a familiar voice coming from the heavens above. It was my swim teacher.
"Oh, that's okay," Mum said. But my teacher insisted.
She picked me up and carried me to the top. Then to the edge. We jumped. Splashed. And I came out. Beaming.
Since then, I’ve taken a lot of jumps in life. Some with the help of others. Some by myself. Each one preparing me for the next. And over time, I’ve helped others take the leap, too.
About me
Currently, I lead a team of designers, art directors, and copywriters at Kizik, an innovative hands-free shoe company. I love helping my teams bring their best ideas to life. I enjoy finding simple human truths, but I also care about the details and the craft. I have experience in the tech, food, automotive, and fashion industries, to name a few.
Outside of work, you'll find me writing music, reading, working out, and spending time with my wife and two toddler boys.
Let's take the next leap together
