Domino's Social Media

My partner and I were in charge of all of Domino's social media for over a year, concepting and shooting every single post. Imagine ordering more than 30 boxes of pizza and shooting them during the course of an entire day. Every month. Our efforts resulted in reaching over 1 million followers on Instagram, creating the most viral post Domino's had to-date, and eating endless amounts of 'za. Here are a few of my favorite projects.

Last Slice Decider

We all love to share a fresh box of pizza together. That is, until there’s only one slice left. So, we decided to help make everyone’s life easier by creating the Last Slice Decider—a device that helps decide who gets that last slice.

Pineapple Debate

There is a debate that is splitting up dinner tables all over the world. Pineapple on pizza? Personally, I'm a fan. But we decided to go to the internet to decide it once and for all.

We held a Facebook Live event where we hacked the video so people could vote for or against pineapple on pizza using the heart and angry like buttons. As they voted, the video would update on screen in real time. This video reached 3,342,321 people with 581,113 total views. The results: 15,688 against pineapple, 26,689 for pineapple.

Domino’s became the number one pizza company, beating Pizza Hut. So, we decided to celebrate with BBQ.

Domino's Hotspots

Most food delivery companies require a physical address to deliver to. But Domino’s opened new locations all over Miami called “Hotspots” that don’t have an address—places that pair well with pizza, like parks, beaches, campus quads, and more.

Using the Domino’s app or when ordering online, customers can select from existing Hotspots near them or nominate new places to be named Hotspots. And we wanted to get the word out.
